One of the Libyan Faculty of Education exit requirements is the graduation research project. Current literature review indicates the scarcity of literature on the quality of the graduation project in the Libyan context. Thus, the present study addressed this shortcoming by investigating the opinions of the faculty members at the Faculties of Education at various Libyan public universities on achieving quality standards in the graduation research projects. The design of the study was exploratory sequential mixed methods as we gathered both quantitative and qualitative data to get accurate and detailed picture of the Libyan teacher-educators’ views on fostering quality in the graduation research project. The context of the study is the Faculties of Education at eight Libyan universities. The participants were 62 Libyan teacher-educators who were faculty members at the Libyan Faculties of Education. Data were collected through documents, questionnaires, and follow up interviews. The results showed that the participants’ views were opposite to the document analysis and revealed that the participants were not sure whether the regulations covered all the points related to the graduation research projects, so they preferred to be neutral. They also perceived several factors as the issues that hindered the quality of the graduation research projects. The participants suggestions as ways of fostering quality in the graduation research projects included achieving quality by following the quality standards described by the quality assurance department among other suggestions. arabic 21 English 111

هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى دراسة واقع الخدمات التعليمية والمعوقات التي تواجه تقديم الخدمات التعليمية إلى طلاب كليات التربية في ليبيا، لتحديد المتطلبات التربوية اللازمة لتفعيل هذه الخدمات على ضوء خبرات بعض الدول من خلال تصور مقترح للدراسة، المنهج المستخدم لهذه الدراسة هو المنهج الوصفي، وتطبيق أداة الاستبانة لجمع البيانات، وقد تم تطبيق الاستبانة على مجتمع الأصلي للدراسة مكون من ( 125 ) عضو هيئة تدريس بكلية التربية جامعة طرابلس وطلاب السنة الأولى والسنة الرابعة البالغ عددهم ( 474 )، وتم تحليل البيانات باستخدام الأهمية النسبية والمتوسطات الحسابية، وتوصلت الدراسة إلى أن واقع الخدمات التعليمية في كليات التربية ذو مستوى ضعيف جدا وخاصة في خدمات الدعم الطلابي، حيثُ وصلت نسبة قلة توفر الخدمات التعليمية إلى 92.3%، إضافة إلى وجود العديد من المعوقات التي تواجه تقديم الخدمات التعليمية للطلاب ومن أهمها المعوقات المالية بنسبة 85.2%، وتوصلت نتائج البحث إلى موافقة مجتمع الدراسة على المتطلبات التربوية اللازمة المقترحة والتي قد تساهم في تفعيل الخدمات التعليمية في كليات التربية إضافة إلى نتائج المستخرجة من خبرات بعض الدول. arabic 150 English 0

Biometrics technologies have been around for quite some time and many have been deployed for different applications all around the world, ranging from small companies' time and attendance systems to access control systems for nuclear facilities. Biometrics offer a reliable solution for the establishment of the distinctiveness of identity based on "who an individual is", rather than what he or she knows or carries. Biometric Systems automatically verify a person's identity based on his anatomical and behavioral characteristics. Biometric traits represent a strong and undeviating link between a person and his identity, these traits cannot be easily lost or forgotten or faked. Since biometric systems require the user to be present at the time of authentication. Some biometric systems are more reliable than others, yet biometric systems are neither secure nor accurate, all biometrics have their strengths and weaknesses. Although some of these systems have shown reliability and solidarity, work still has to be done to improve the quality of service they provide. In this paper we present the most common and reliable known biometric systems suitable for Multimodal Biometrics Fusion, providing highly efficient and secure systems, showing their strengths and weaknesses and also presenting technologies in which may have great benefits for security applications in the near future.
